What a Week !

What at week for the Thames Valley Vultures!  It started with television appearances for two of our members. First it was Mike who unwittingly appeared in Dom Jolly's Complainers. An amazing performance of self restraint was shown despite unfair provocation and wine slinging!  Well done Mike, you did us proud.  Then it was the turn of ffffPete (Tosh) Saunders who appeared as the World's Best Dressed Motorcycle Courier! This one really had the phone lines buzzing  "Did you see Pete on Telly ....................WEARING A SUIT !!!!!!". Speculation was rife as to where Pete could have borrowed / hired such an item, but it was all in a charitable cause, so his image as a roughty toughty biker should be unblemished!  Well done Pete.

Then the highlight of the week Arl's Mum went home ........    Whooooooo Hooooooo !!!!!!!!!!! RESULT !  But that was not without it's drama. We got all the way to Basingstoke before Arl said "I've forgotten her medication".  Aaaaarrrrggghhhhh. So we headed back to collect them before starting out again on our journey to Weymouth. Having dropped the old girl off, it was on to Fareham and the Independents' Club House for a surprise party for Roger the Scarf!.  He has recently stood down as Centre Rep due to ill health and the VSOC, Eagle Riders and Independents amongst others, turned out in force to show their appreciation for a great guy. Rog was visibly shaken by the surprise but was soon enjoying the evening along with the rest of us. It was a great evening and so good to meet old friends and even make a few new ones. Those that couldn't make it, shame on you! But there will be plenty of opportunities this coming Rally season to party with Rog and the rest of the VSOC.
