My Left Foot

Started the day off by running a package into central London , no rain, light traffic made the drop in 55 minutes, got a P.O.D. (proof of delivery) called in 'clear' and then set off back to Oxford, going great until coming off the elevated section of the M40 I got stuck behind a total w********r who was very nervous at filtering and kept stopping when he was half way past a vehicle .

I could not get past so I just followed him through until he stopped dead by the side of an articulated lorry, as I was waiting for the w*******r to get going again the lorry moved forward and drove over my left foot, the pain did not register at first and I could not believe what just happened. All the traffic around me started moving while I was stationary in the middle of the road with a foot which felt like it had just been hit with a sledge hammer. I managed to move over to the side of the road, my foot was throbbing and I was in a hot flush and after 10 minutes decided to try and get home to seek medical advise on my now flat left foot. I rode back at 110 till I got off at junction 6, called in to see my Mrs who helped me remove my boot to reveal a badly bruised and swollen foot. Luckily no bones were broken but if anyone happens to see a blue and yellow solid bodied artic with the imprint of a left foot on its right rear tyre can they please jot down the registration number and pass it on to me. Hope this little story brings more enjoyment to you  (oh it did...trust me!..... Ed ) than it did to me and remember when stationary between traffic keep your feet in!
